What is waffle labs?

Waffle Labs is an insurtech startup dedicated to building an insurance solution that enables people to protect everyone and everything they care about, through one fully customizable policy. Waffle is a member of the Barclays Accelerator powered by Techstars 2018 cohort, which is where I met them as a Design Associate. I joined their team right after the program ended.

What did i do there?

• Brand Development

Carried out a series of workshops and exercises to explore the brand purpose and positioning. Built out basic design systems and tested initial positioning buckets and messaging platforms.

• UX/UI

Designed, developed and managed their Wordpress website. Designed the user interface for their mobile application and tested the user flow and experience. 

• Marketing Strategy

Put together a multi-channel go-to-market strategy with detailed timelines, budget breakdowns and initial creative concepts across multiple channels. 

• Internship Management

Hired and managed interns to help execute brand and UX/UI assets.

• Social Media Content Creation & Management

Created simple content strategy for the months leading up to seed round. Included twitter, instagram, medium and LinkedIn content. Executed visual & written assets.

Thanksgiving Instagram PromoTION

We got an email from someone on our waitlisters asking for turkey insurance and thought it would be a fun social campaign. So, For thanksgiving 2019 we decided to give away 3 back-up thanksgiving dinners. It was an engagement campaign and required people to tag their clumsy friends who they thought could really use a backup thanksgiving dinner.
